Police appeal for informants to call back

Calls to the families and friends of the victims to appeal for their assistance are now being investigated.

A spokeswoman for the Independent Police Complaints Commission said a review to determine what happened and whether additional action is necessary would be undertaken, while the Independent Police Conduct Authority is investigating.

In January police issued an apology after the victim was shot dead by an officer.

Pasha bulker assessment continues

Sydney's big-man forward has not done very well in last season's NBL, making just 11 appearances from 17 contests. He has a career average of 11.5/7.5 on the season and has shot just.222/.214 for the year. He can also get up in the paint, having attempted more field goals at the rim (37) than anywhere else.

The Sydney Giants have signed Ben Simmons, one of the greatest big men of his generation. The 6'6 Simmons, who is a member of the Houston Rockets, and the New Orleans Pelicans, who also recently re-signed Ben Simmons, will be playing for the club in Sydney with the Giants after signing at the end of the offseason.

Lloyd Harvey, who is 5'9 and 200 pounds and played for the San Antonio Spurs for five seasons, has signed with the Boston Celtics after playing last season with the Los Angeles Lakers. The 23-year-old is a career 22.4/16 shooter from downtown, though he did not do a great job at moving the ball.

The Celtics have acquired former Texas A&M star guard John Lucas III from the Los Angeles Lakers, the team announced Thursday.

The former Texas Tech, Texas Tech, USC and Baylor star is a versatile point guard who can shoot the ball all around, making 60% of his triples from outside the arc and a career 87% on long two-pointers.

It was the first time in his career that he has played in the Finals. Lucas has never made it to the Finals as a player (as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers and as the Rockets' director of player development), but he can play an important role in helping make the most out of Chris Paul's impact on this Celtics team.

After watching the play of Kyle Lowry, the Minnesota Timberwolves made a difficult decision by parting ways with former Minnesota point guard Andrew Wiggins and sending down Kevin Garnett. Now the Timberwolves need to find another point guard, and they've taken a shot on this 6'9 point guard.

Kris Humphries is a talented two-way power forward who can play multiple positions, shooting 39% from the field and 42% from three-point range. He played for the Oklahoma City Thunder for more than five years during his rookie season, showing good ball movement skills and ability to finish at the rim. Humphries is also the leading rebounder in the NBA this season and his 27.5% shooting from downtown puts him in the conversation with Damian Lillard for the second best mark in the NBA after Dwight Howard.
